What should you work on?

Camp should always be about working on your craft. Building relationships is part of that craft. Don’t just focus on the visual skills. Look at how you communicate with other referees, coaches, players, and supervisors. Relationships matter. Here’s an example: Players become assistant coaches, and assistant coaches become head coaches. Head coaches become Supervisors of Officials. This doesn’t mean that you kiss up to people. It just means that relationships matter, and the relationship you are cultivating might have an impact that you don’t realize. Move with integrity, grace, and empathy.
